A Quality Initiative (QI) for the Northwestern College Community

The purpose of this QI is to enable everyone in the NWC community to attain greater levels of vocational thriving. By identifying and addressing the vocational needs of our faculty and staff, students, and alumni through eight specific goals, we seek to be more intentional and communicative about the ways we actively pursue our common good and the ways we can do so even better.

Northwestern’s QI task force believes that if everyone who supports student learning is cognizant of their own vocational well-being, is pursuing opportunities to grow vocationally, and has the language and examples to articulate our vocational journeys to others, we can more fully embody the college’s mission of courageous and faithful learning and living. We can also unite to advance a common good focused on helping all community members follow Christ and pursue God’s redeeming work in the world—not just through our occupational positions, but in our multiple vocations beyond our paid work.
